Pagasa also emphasizes that the apparent temperature, or heat index, is a more accurate measure of how the body perceives heat, taking into account both air temperature and relative humidity. The Heat Index Chart provided by Pagasa helps individuals gauge the level of heat stress they may experience.

During the months of March through May, Pagasa provides Heat Index monitoring and forecast information online to keep the public informed and safe amidst rising temperatures.
