Filipino Muslims to Observe Eid’l Fitr on April 22

The Bangsamoro Darul Ifta (BDI) has announced that Eid'l Fitr or the Feast of Breaking the Fast will be on Saturday, April 22.
The Muslim advisory council verified on Thursday night, April 20 that the crescent moon was not sighted in different regions of the country, leading to the announcement.
Bangsamoro Grand Mufti Abuhuraira Udasan confirmed the result of the moon sighting through various social media platforms and radio stations.
The BDI dispatched moon sighting teams to different strategic locations equipped with technical knowledge and equipment to ensure an accurate result.
Following the announcement, Muslims all over the Philippines are expected to take part in congregational prayers at designated locations, signifying the end of the month-long observance of Ramadan.
The Bangsamoro Government Center in Cotabato City will be open to the public for the celebration.
This occasion is an essential part of the Islamic calendar, and it marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, which is an important period of prayer, reflection, and fasting for Muslims worldwide.
