President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. had a jam-packed schedule on February 27 as he visited different areas in the province of Cebu to launch various government initiatives and projects aimed at improving the lives of the Filipino people.

The day began with the launch of the "Kadiwa ng Pangulo" program, which is an extension of the successful "Kadiwa ng Pasko" initiative. The program aims to provide affordable and accessible basic necessities to the public, particularly in areas affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

After the launch, President Marcos Jr. proceeded to lead the groundbreaking ceremonies for two significant projects in Cebu Province: the Cebu Bus Rapid Transit Project and the Cebu City Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing Project. These projects are expected to improve the transportation and housing situation in the area, providing better opportunities for the residents.

The President then headed to Mandaue City to facilitate the distribution of government aid to beneficiaries and inaugurated the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas. The new office will serve as a channel for the government to better address the needs of the Visayan region.

Later in the day, President Marcos Jr. visited the Brigadier General Benito N. Ebuen Air Base in Lapu-Lapu City to meet with troops and officials of the Visayas Command. During the meeting, he reiterated his commitment to prioritizing the needs of the Filipino people and ensuring opportunities for progress and development.

Throughout his engagements, the President emphasized his administration's dedication to improving the lives of Filipinos and providing them with access to basic necessities, such as food, shelter, and transportation. The initiatives and projects launched during his visit to Cebu Province are part of the government's efforts to achieve these goals and create a brighter future for the country.
