Karen Bordador Addresses Backlash Amidst Seo In Guk Fan Meeting Controversy: 'Damage Is Done, Karma Comes In Many Forms'

Celebrity Karen Bordador has broken her silence after facing intense backlash for replacing Kristel Fulgar as the last-minute host of the Seo In Guk fan meeting held in Manila. The abrupt change of hosts led to a wave of criticism and negative comments directed towards Bordador.
In her post on X platform, Bordador expressed her frustration over the irrational hate she received following the hosting switch. She wrote, "After receiving mean and baseless IRRATIONAL hate I didn’t deserve…now what? So easy to point fingers but naturally no accountability taken. Damage is done! Karma comes in many forms. Hope you learned something. God bless!"
The incident sparked controversy when Kristel Fulgar, who had diligently prepared and rehearsed for the event, was informed by the Korean technical director that she would no longer be hosting the fan meeting.
Fulgar shared her disappointment in a heartfelt YouTube video uploaded on August 15, 2023. She revealed that despite her lack of expertise in hosting, she had taken on the role not only as a fan of Seo In Guk but also as a representative of his other fans.
"This is the first time I've experienced such a scenario in my 20-year career in the entertainment industry. I was here at 7 a.m., rehearsing, and then eventually, the Korean technical director told me I wouldn't be hosting anymore," Fulgar shared in the video. She further explained, "I thought, 'What happened? I've been preparing for so long.' I haven't accepted any other hosting gigs apart from this event. Because it's for Seo In Guk, I know I'm not an expert in hosting, but I believe I can connect with his fans."
Fulgar, who has been a fan of the Korean star for 11 years, expressed her disappointment at not being given a second chance to prove herself on stage. "Since it was a rehearsal, I wasn't used to giving my 100% energy. If they found the energy lacking during the rehearsal, I said, 'I will do my best.' I expected to be brought back on stage to show the 100% I was talking about, but they said no."
The producers swiftly contacted another host, citing their desire for a flawless event. Fulgar expressed her frustration at not being granted a second opportunity to showcase her abilities and dedication.
