Major Drug Bust In Pampanga Unveils International Syndicate

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) joined forces with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Bureau of Customs, and the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) in seizing P3.8B worth of shabu in Pampanga.
The agencies raided Gate 1 Empire 999 Realty Corporation Purok 5 San Jose Malino, Mexico in Pampanga on September 24, 2023, intercepting 560 kilos of Methamphetamine Hydrochloride, commonly known as “shabu.”
The NBI-Task Force Against Illegal Drugs (TFAID) employed undercover operatives who infiltrated the drug syndicate.
The NBI said that the drug syndicate camouflaged the illegal drugs with plastic bags of chicharon (dried fish), soft drink cases, and sacks of animal feed, all marked with Thai language.
The bureau said that the illicit drugs arrived at Subic Port, SBMA, on September 18, 2023, via the Vessel Sitc Shekou from Thailand.
