The Turkish Embassy in Southeast Türkiye has successfully begun its mission to aid Filipinos affected by the recent earthquake. Led by Ambassador Maria Elena Algabre, the team has met with several Filipinos in Adana and İskenderun , distributing relief goods and evacuating those in need.

The Embassy has received confirmed and unconfirmed reports of Filipinos experiencing varying degrees of distress, including two injured Filipinos who have since recovered.

The Embassy is utilizing its network of Filipino community leaders to reach out to those in need and will continue its efforts to reach the 248 Filipinos listed in its consular records. This process may take several days, but the embassy is determined to ensure that as many Filipinos as possible are accounted for.

The Embassy said it will welcome any information on Filipinos affected by the earthquake.
