Police Officer Killed And Two Injured In Shootout Inside Taguig Police Station

Tragedy struck yesterday August 7,2023 at the Taguig police headquarters located at the city hall compound as a police officer lost his life in a gunfire exchange, leaving two others wounded.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 AM inside the Office of the Community Affairs Section (CAS), situated at the Headquarters of the Taguig City Police Station (CPS) on Gen. Luna St., Brgy. Tuktukan.
The confrontation involved members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and resulted in injuries to three officers. According to a police officer, "Our Chief of Police has provided an initial update on the shooting incident in his office. Unfortunately, one of our police officers was declared dead on arrival, while the other two are undergoing treatment. We are awaiting updates from our doctors to determine their current conditions. As of now, one officer did not make it to the hospital and is being attended to by their family, with the full support of our police force under the guidance of our regional director."
The investigation is currently ongoing, with authorities set to release an official report detailing the incident. The police are diligently working to uncover the truth behind the shooting, relying on the accounts of witnesses present at the scene.
