In a highly anticipated showdown between San Miguel Beer and Barangay Ginebra, it was the Beermen who emerged victorious, securing their outright quarter finals berth in the PBA Governors Cup.

Cameron Clark, the SMB import, led the charge with a game-high 35 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists. He was aided by CJ Perez, who added 20 points and seven boards, and Jun Mar Fajardo, who contributed 12 markers and 18 rebounds.

The Kings, on the other hand, were led by Christian Standhardinger's 29 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists, while Justin Brownlee was held down to only 21 points on an 8-of-18 clip.

Despite their endgame surge, the Kings fell short as Nards Pinto missed two three-point tries, giving the Beermen the win, 102-99. With the victory, the Beermen kept a share of top spot with the TNT Tropang Giga at 7-1, while the Kings dropped to 3-2.
