Here’s a partnership that puts mental health in the spotlight where it truly belongs.
Aktor PH – yes, the League of Filipino Actors – has officially teamed up with mental healthcare advocate MindNation to roll out the ACT-OR Helpdesk, an initiative focused on supporting the holistic well-being of Filipino actors. This exciting announcement was made during Aktor PH’s recent General Assembly and was led by none other than Aktor PH President Iza Calzado-Wintle and Chairman Dingdong Dantes.
So, what’s the ACT-OR Helpdesk all about? It’s designed to empower actors and members of the entertainment industry by giving them easy access to proactive and holistic mental health support. Think therapy, guidance, and tools to navigate the ups and downs of showbiz—and life in general.
MindNation, known for their strong advocacy in mental wellness, was represented at the event by Chief WellBeing Officer and Lead Psychologist Eiza Fusingan-Lappay, RPsy, and Partnerships Manager Mela Rosal. Together with Aktor PH, they’re making sure that mental health isn’t just a buzzword, but something truly acted upon.
It’s a big step forward for the industry—acknowledging that mental health is just as important as physical health, especially in such a high-pressure, high-visibility profession.
As Iza Calzado-Wintle emphasized during the assembly, this partnership is about breaking the stigma, opening up conversations, and making sure that support is always within reach for every actor who needs it.
Here’s to a healthier, more supported, and more empowered entertainment community!
