Alice Guo Fights To Stay In Pasig Female Dorm

Former Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Leal Guo is asking the court to let her remain at the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory, and the Pasig Regional Trial Court is moving quickly to hear her request.
In an order dated November 20, 2025, Judge Annie (signature redacted in document) of RTC Branch 167 scheduled Guo’s motion for a hearing on November 26 at 8:30 a.m. The motion was filed by Guo’s lawyers as she continues to face charges of qualified human trafficking.
The court’s directive comes as questions swirl over Guo’s identity, gender classification, and detention placement—issues that have trailed her since her arrest and have added tension to the already high-profile case.
The order was also furnished to the DOJ prosecutors and the counsel of all accused parties, signaling that the court wants all sides present when it decides whether Guo can remain in the female dorm while her trial proceeds.
The November 26 hearing is expected to determine if Guo stays where she is—or if authorities will move her to a different detention facility.
