Education Secretary Sonny Angara has dismissed rumors circulating online that he is among the Cabinet members set to be replaced under the Marcos administration.

The clarification came amid reports claiming that three Cabinet secretaries were allegedly facing removal, prompting speculation on a possible shake-up within the government.

Angara said he has not personally discussed the matter with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., but stressed that senior officials have already assured him that no Cabinet revamp is in the works.

“Sinabi ni ES [Ralph Recto] sa akin na wala naman [revamp], saka ni [Presidential Management Staff] Secretary, sinabi rin sa akin na wala naman,” Angara said during an ambush interview.

The education chief’s statement aims to put an end to the speculation, as the administration continues its work with no official announcement of changes in the Cabinet lineup.

Angara is currently focused on DepEd’s ongoing programs and reforms, while Malacañang has yet to issue any advisory confirming a Cabinet reshuffle.
