Anne Jakrajutatip—the transgender celebrity entrepreneur who once co-owned the Miss Universe Organization—is now officially wanted by Thai authorities after she failed to show up for her fraud verdict, according to Khaosod English news site.

The South Bangkok Criminal Court was set to deliver its decision on November 25, but Anne never appeared. No explanation, no legal representative—nothing. The court said her absence looked like an attempt to evade justice, so a warrant was quickly issued.

A P30-Million Fraud Accusation

The case, filed by Dr. Raweewat Maschamadol, accuses Anne and JKN Global Group of luring him into investing 30 million baht in corporate bonds despite allegedly knowing the company was already sinking financially. Between July 24 and August 8 last year, prosecutors say the pair misrepresented the company’s ability to pay him back.

Anne was previously allowed to attend hearings in absentia, but the court required her presence for the verdict. Because she didn’t show up, her bail was fully forfeited, her guarantor was ordered to pay the penalty within 15 days, and the verdict reading was moved to December 26.

From Miss Universe Fame… to Financial Trouble

In 2022, Anne became the first transgender woman to own the Miss Universe Organization—a headline that made global waves. But behind the glitz, JKN Global was drowning in financial problems. Thailand’s digital TV downturn and the company’s struggles in supplements made things worse.

By late 2023, JKN began missing major repayments. Anne and her sister sold off shares multiple times to cover debts. By early 2024, JKN had already sold half of the Miss Universe brand to a Mexican holding group.

In June 2025, Anne resigned from all JKN positions after charges from Thailand’s SEC. She later stepped down from Miss Universe leadership entirely.

Miss Universe Chaos Adds to the Drama

The Miss Universe 2025 pageant also got hit with its own share of controversy. Host committee head Nawat Itsaragrisil was accused of bullying Mexican contestant Fatima Bosch during a meeting. She stormed out—and many contestants followed her.

Nawat’s role was reduced, and Bosch still clinched the Miss Universe 74th crown. But accusations of vote-rigging surfaced after two judges resigned before the final.

Rumors of a Run to Mexico

At the same time, rumors swirled that Anne converted 6 billion baht into cryptocurrency and fled to Mexico with help from Miss Universe insiders.

JKN Global pushed back immediately, saying delayed debt payments were due to economic pressures—not fraud—and insisting that no wrongdoing had been found so far.

What’s Next?

Thai authorities are now looking for Anne ahead of the newly scheduled December 26 verdict, according to Khaosod English news site. With an arrest warrant hanging over her and rumors spreading about her location, her once-glittering rise has turned into one of the year’s biggest unfolding scandals.
