Bong Go Still On Top: Senator Thanks Filipinos After Leading April 2025 SWS Survey

Senator Bong Go just got another big boost heading into the 2025 midterm elections.

According to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey, conducted from April 11 to 15 and commissioned by Stratbase Group, Go leads the senatorial race with a solid 45% voter preference—firmly holding onto that solo top spot.

It’s been a steady climb for the senator over the past few months: 32% in December 2024, 37% in January, 38% in February, 42% in March, and now 45% in April.

After hearing the good news, Go didn’t waste time thanking Filipinos for their trust and support.

“Maraming salamat pong muli sa ating mga kababayan para sa patuloy na tiwala at suporta,” he said. “Nakakawala po ng pagod ang inyong suporta sa aking pagseserbisyo saan mang bahagi ng bansa—Luzon, Visayas, at Mindanao.”

Still, Go made it clear—this isn’t the time to sit back and relax.

“These numbers inspire me to work even harder, serve even better, and help more Filipinos, especially the poor,” he added.

He promised voters that no matter how high the numbers get, his top priority will always be serving ordinary Filipinos, particularly those who need it most.

“Expect me to continue prioritizing the interests of our people,” Go said. “More hard work, more compassion, and more public service—that’s what I can offer.”

And it’s not just the SWS survey showing his strength. Other independent polls back it up too:
• Pulse Asia (March 2025): 61.9% voter preference, up from 58.1% in February
• Publicus Asia’s Pahayag 2025 (March 15–20): #1 in both aided (45%) and unaided awareness (17%)
• OCTA Research’s Tugon ng Masa (March 18–24): Leading with 64%, from 62% in February and 58% in January

Despite the impressive figures, Go stressed that for him, it’s all about service.

“As your senator, I will keep serving our fellow Filipinos. Serving the people is a service to God,” he said.

Go has been known for pushing key initiatives like the Malasakit Centers Act, and championing the nationwide rollout of Super Health Centers and Regional Specialty Centers.

He also gave a shoutout to the “DuterTEN” alliance—his group aiming to continue the projects started by former President Rodrigo Duterte.

“I’m grateful for your support not only for me but also for my allies in the ‘DuterTEN’ who share the same mission,” Go said.

In the end, Go wrapped up with a heartfelt thanks and a prayer:

“Higit sa lahat, nagpapasalamat po ako sa Diyos para sa pagkakataong makapagsilbi sa aking kapwa Pilipino,” he said. “Muli, maraming salamat po!”
