A lone bettor from Compostela, Cebu won the massive ₱288.6 million Grand Lotto 6/55 jackpot from Saturday night’s draw, after matching the winning numbers 13-42-06-45-24-33.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said it’s already the second time this month that a solo player has struck gold. Just a day earlier, a bettor from Sorsogon City took home ₱14.4 million from the Mega Lotto 6/45.
Plenty of other players also had reason to celebrate. Forty-seven bettors hit five out of six numbers and will receive ₱100,000 each. Another 2,330 players won ₱1,500 after guessing four correct numbers, while 30,049 bettors will get ₱60 each for matching three.
Grand Lotto 6/55 draws are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
Under the rules, winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prize. Jackpot winners must proceed to the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City, sign the back of their winning ticket, and present two valid government IDs. Prizes above ₱10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax under the TRAIN law.
PCSO General Manager Mel Robles encouraged the public to continue supporting the games, noting that lotto revenues help fund health programs, medical assistance, and other social services.
For one lucky bettor in Cebu, a single ticket just turned into millions — and a life-changing moment.
