Commissioner Viado Supports President Marcos' Call For Transparency On BI White Paper

Commissioner Joel Anthony M. Viado has expressed support for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s recent remarks calling attention to the issues raised in the so-called Bureau of Immigration (BI) white paper.
“We welcome the President’s statement and share his commitment to transparency, fairness, and due process,” Commissioner Viado stated. “These values are fundamental to addressing concerns of public interest and maintaining the integrity of our institutions.”
The President’s call to examine the matter reflects a broader effort to ensure accountability and strengthen public confidence in government processes. Commissioner Viado affirmed his trust that any forthcoming investigation will be impartial, thorough, and aimed at uncovering the truth.
“An objective and comprehensive review will help clarify the facts, determine responsibility where necessary, and reinforce the trust of our citizens in the institutions that serve them,” he added.
