As of 12:40 PM today, a total of 100 patients are being managed at Ramon Maza Sr. Memorial District Hospital (RMSMDH) following an incident at Pis-anan National High School in Sibalom, Antique, where several students reportedly inhaled an unidentified substance. The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) is actively monitoring and managing the situation.

In addition to those at RMSMDH, 20 patients were transferred to Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital (ASMGH) for further treatment. Another 37 individuals were evaluated and managed by medical responders at a triage area set up at the Barangay Pis-anan gymnasium, which now serves as the incident command post.

Governor Paolo Javier is currently on-site to oversee emergency response operations. Multiple agencies have mobilized to provide assistance, including the municipal and barangay governments of Sibalom, San Jose de Buenavista, and Hamtic. These efforts are being supported by the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Provincial Health Office, and the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.

With additional personnel and transportation dispatched to manage patient care and transfers, authorities are working to ensure all affected individuals receive timely medical attention. The source and nature of the substance are still under investigation.

The PDRRMO continues to coordinate closely with local agencies to address the evolving situation and ensure public safety. Updates will be released as more information becomes available.
