DENR Investigates Disturbing Video Of Philippine Tarsier Mistreatment

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), through its Soccsksargen monitoring and enforcement team, has initiated an investigation into a troubling video depicting the improper treatment of Philippine Tarsiers.
The DENR-12 monitoring and enforcement team received a report on Monday, April 8th, regarding the distressing footage, which was shared on social media by a vlogger identified as "Farm Boy" from Polomolok, South Cotabato.
Preliminary findings from the investigation reveal that the two tarsiers featured in the video were purportedly released into the wild by the vlogger. However, the DENR is actively pursuing further actions regarding this wildlife incident.
More updates on the investigation will follow as the DENR continues its efforts to ensure the welfare and conservation of the Philippine Tarsiers.
