DPWH Turns Over Files Of Late Undersecretary To Ombudsman

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has formally turned over the computer and files from the office of the late former Undersecretary Maria Catalina Cabral, covering the past 10 years, in compliance with a Subpoena Duces Tecum issued by the Office of the Ombudsman.
The turnover was led by senior DPWH officials, including Public Works Undersecretary Nicasio Conti, Undersecretary Arthur Bisnar, Undersecretary Ricardo Bernabe III, and Undersecretary Charles Calima Jr.
DPWH assured the public that it will fully cooperate with the Ombudsman and other concerned authorities overseeing the investigation. The agency said the move reflects its commitment to transparency and accountability as investigators review the documents related to the case.
The department added that it will continue to respect due process and provide all documents required by authorities as the probe moves forward.
