EDSA Rehab Goes Full Throttle-Day And Night Work Underway

Motorists can expect faster progress on the long-awaited EDSA rehabilitation as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ramps up operations around the clock to beat the deadline.
In a statement, the DPWH said it is working 24/7, deploying additional equipment and personnel to speed up repairs and complete the project ahead of schedule. The agency acknowledged that the intensified work may cause inconvenience but stressed that the effort is aimed at delivering safer and smoother roads sooner.
The DPWH also thanked the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Department of Transportation (DOTr) for deploying more traffic enforcers along affected areas to help manage traffic flow and ensure the safety of motorists and commuters during the rehabilitation.
As repair works continue, the department appealed for patience and cooperation from the public, noting that the improvements are necessary to address long-standing road issues along the country’s busiest highway.
The DPWH ended its advisory by wishing the public a safe holiday season as construction crews continue working day and night to improve EDSA.
