In a significant development, House Secretary General Reginald Velasco, confirmed that the House of Representatives has officially transmitted Resolution of Both Houses 7 (RBH7) and House Bill (HB) No. 9710 to the Senate for consideration.

The House Secretary General revealed to the media that the Senate has received the copies of the aforementioned legislative measures. The communication addressed to the Honorable Juan Miguel Zubiri, President of the Senate of the Philippines, formally informed the upper house of the passage of the following bills by the House of Representatives:

1. R.B.H. No. 7: This resolution proposes amendments to certain economic provisions of the 1987 Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines, particularly focusing on Articles XII, XIV, and XVI.

2. H.B. No. 9710: This bill aims to revoke the legislative franchise granted to Swara Sug Media Corporation, operating under the business name Sonshine Media Network International. It seeks to repeal Republic Act No. 11422, entitled "An Act Renewing for Another Twenty-Five (25) Years the Franchise Granted to Swara Sug Media Corporation under Republic Act No. 8122," which originally granted the franchise to operate radio and television broadcasting stations in the Philippines for commercial purposes.

The House of Representatives has formally requested the concurrence of the Senate regarding these legislative measures.

This transmission marks a crucial step in the legislative process, as the Senate will now deliberate on RBH7 and HB No. 9710, determining their fate and potential enactment into law. The proposed amendments to the economic provisions of the Constitution and the revocation of the legislative franchise are issues of substantial importance, warranting careful consideration and thorough debate in the Senate chambers.
