'I Can Retire Without A Case': PNP Chief Marbil Grateful As DOJ Dismisses Charges
FILE
PNP Chief General Rommel Francisco Marbil is breathing a huge sigh of relief.

After months of facing legal uncertainty, Marbil expressed his gratitude over the Department of Justice's (DOJ) decision to dismiss the criminal complaints filed against him and other law enforcement officials.

The complaints were related to the attempted arrest of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. Several police officers involved in the operation found themselves facing legal scrutiny over their roles in the controversial case.

With the DOJ ruling now in his favor, Marbil shared that he’s looking forward to retiring with peace of mind—free from legal baggage.

“Makakapag-retire ako nang walang kaso,” he said, clearly relieved by the outcome.

This decision marks a significant development in a case that has drawn public attention, and it paves the way for Marbil to conclude his service without the shadow of litigation hanging over him.
