Singer and actor Ice Seguerra said his final goodbye to his beloved mother, Caring Seguerra, with a touching tribute that moved many to tears. During her wake, Ice dedicated one last performance to her — a deeply emotional rendition of Bread’s classic ballad, “Everything I Own,” a song that held special meaning for both of them.

In an Instagram post accompanying the performance, Ice shared the raw emotions he felt while singing. “As a kid, my greatest fear was losing you,” he wrote. “Akala ko kapag tumanda na ako, mas madali kong harapin ‘yon. Hindi pala.”

He had initially planned not to sing, but ultimately chose to honor his mother’s memory through the song she loved most. “I knew I’d regret not singing for you one last time. This was your favorite song. Now, it has a whole different meaning for me,” he said. “Every line captures how I see you and what I’m feeling. I would give everything I own… just to have you back again. I love you so much. For Always. I will miss you forever.”

Earlier today, Ice also posted a photo of himself with his mother, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support his family has received. “Hi guys. I want to express my appreciation sa lahat ng mga nakiramay sa aming pamilya… Even in death, life goes on for the rest of us,” he shared.

Ice reflected on the strength and resilience his parents instilled in him and his family. “We were blessed for many years because they taught us to stand strong and be independent... They taught us to be courageous. And we will make them prouder than ever.”

He ended his message with a poignant reminder: “If there’s one thing I’ve learned about life, it is that it is unpredictable. Your loved one can be gone in the blink of an eye. So always live in the present, express your love, and learn to forgive.”

Caring Seguerra passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, at 7:54 a.m. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering support — one that Ice now carries forward in her honor.
