Commuters in Las Piñas now have a new convenience to enjoy while waiting for their ride, thanks to the city’s latest digital initiative. The local government has officially launched the “Sa Naghihintay, May Libreng WiFi!”
program, expanding free public internet access across key waiting sheds in the city.
Mayor April Aguilar and Vice Mayor Mel Aguilar led the rollout, joined by Cong. Mark Anthony Santos, members of the City Council, and department heads. The city government says the project aims to provide residents with fast and accessible internet, especially in areas where people often stay the longest—waiting sheds.
Under the program, Las Piñeros can now connect to free Wi-Fi in 16 waiting sheds, each with a 45-meter coverage radius, up to 200 Mbps speed , and one hour of free use per day.
City officials say the service will be a big help to students and workers, especially those waiting near schools and busy terminals. It’s part of the city’s push to modernize public services and make information more accessible to everyone.
Here are the 16 waiting sheds with free Wi-Fi:

2. Casimiro Waiting Shed
