Meralco Cuts Power Rates For December

Good news for electricity users this December! Meralco has announced that power rates are going down by ₱0.3557 per kWh, thanks to lower transmission and generation charges. For a typical household, this brings the total rate to ₱13.1145 per kWh.
According to Meralco VP Joe R. Zaldarriaga, households using around 200 kWh can expect to save about ₱71 on their electricity bill this month.
“Just in time for the holidays, we hope this gives our customers a little extra relief,” Zaldarriaga said.
With this reduction, Meralco is helping make the festive season a bit brighter — and a little lighter on the wallet.
