Meralco Switches On The Magic Of The Holidays
Contributed Photo
Meralco has officially switched on the magic of the holidays! The company, led by Manuel V. Pangilinan, lit up its annual Liwanag Park at the Meralco Operating Center in Pasig City—marking the joyful start of the Christmas season.
This year’s theme, “A Brighter Christmas for All,” lives up to its name. The crowd-favorite 3D mapping show is back, projecting vibrant holiday scenes onto the façade of the iconic Lopez Building thanks to Panasonic’s cutting-edge technology.
But what makes Liwanag Park extra special is its heart for sustainability. Many of the stunning installations were made from repurposed materials—proof that you can celebrate brightly while caring for the planet. Highlights include:
• A towering 45-foot Christmas tree
• Mini houses crafted from old copper wires
• Colorful LED tunnels made with reused meter covers
• A giant belen, a beloved symbol of Paskong Pinoy
Visitors can also hop on the charming tranvia ride and explore other interactive displays perfect for kids and families.
Liwanag Park welcomes everyone for free from December 1 to 23, 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and from December 24 to 31, 6:00 PM to 12 midnight. Guests are simply encouraged to follow safety protocols while enjoying the festive experience.
If you're looking for a bright and meaningful way to celebrate Christmas, Liwanag Park is definitely worth the visit!
