A fortunate resident of Barangay Krus na Ligas in Quezon City is now PHP97.8 million richer, after securing the jackpot in Thursday night’s Super Lotto 6/49 draw, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) confirmed.

The lone bettor successfully picked the winning combination of 25-08-05-27-18-16, earning the top prize in one of the country’s most popular lottery games.

According to PCSO, the winner has up to one year from the date of the draw to claim the prize at the agency’s main office in Mandaluyong City. To do so, they must present the original winning ticket and two valid IDs.

However, the full amount won’t go untouched—under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, lottery prizes exceeding PHP10,000 are subject to a 20% tax. In this case, the winner will take home around PHP78 million after deductions.

Aside from the jackpot winner, 89 other players will receive PHP50,000 each for correctly guessing five out of the six winning numbers. Meanwhile, 3,480 individuals matched four digits and will claim PHP1,200 each, and 45,480 bettors will get PHP50 for correctly guessing three digits.

The Super Lotto 6/49 draw takes place every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, offering players a chance to turn a small bet into a life-changing prize.

PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles took the opportunity to encourage continued support for the agency’s lottery games, emphasizing their role in raising funds for critical programs. “Proceeds from these games support health services, medical aid, and other charitable initiatives nationwide,” he said.

Through its mandated contributions, PCSO continues to provide essential assistance to Filipinos in need and fund public health institutions across the country.
