MMDA Unveils 'May Huli Ka 2.0' Website For More Secure, Efficient Traffic Violation Monitoring

In its latest effort to modernize traffic management and enforcement, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has officially launched “May Huli Ka 2.0,” a web-based platform designed to give vehicle owners secure and convenient access to their traffic violation records under the No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP).
MMDA Chairman Atty. Don Artes led the launch at the agency’s Communications and Command Center in Pasig City, emphasizing the enhanced privacy and functionality of the revamped website. Unlike its predecessor, the new platform now requires users to input both their license plate or conduction sticker number and their motor vehicle (MV) file number. This added layer of verification aims to protect vehicle owners’ data and prevent unauthorized access to traffic records.
“In the previous version, violations could be viewed with just the plate number, which raised valid concerns regarding privacy and data protection. This new system ensures that only legitimate vehicle owners can access such sensitive information,” Artes said during the launch.
The website provides a complete guide on what to do upon receiving a violation notice, including how to settle fines and the proper channels for filing an appeal. Beyond the current features, MMDA plans to further expand the platform’s capabilities. Artes shared that upcoming updates will include access to violation details such as images or video footage of the incident, the exact date and time, the nature of the infraction, and the corresponding fines.
Future enhancements will also allow users to manage multiple vehicles under a single account, receive real-time SMS and email alerts for new violations, contest apprehensions online, and schedule hearings digitally. A payment integration feature is also in development to streamline the settlement process.
Artes noted that these initiatives are part of a broader push by the Marcos administration to deliver more efficient and technology-driven public services. The NCAP itself reflects this shift, utilizing CCTV systems and other digital tools to monitor traffic violations without requiring physical apprehension by traffic enforcers.
The launch event was attended by key stakeholders, including Philippine National Police chief General Nicolas Torre III, and representatives from transport groups, motorcycle ride-hailing firms, and transport network vehicle service providers, signaling broad support for the MMDA’s digital transformation in traffic management.
