Money sent home by overseas Filipinos continued to grow, with cash remittances reaching US$3.17 billion in October 2025, pushing the total for the first 10 months of the year to US$29.2 billion, based on the latest data from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

The United States remained the Philippines’ largest source of remittances during the January-to-October period, followed by Singapore and Saudi Arabia, highlighting the sustained contribution of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to the local economy.

When broader inflows are considered, remittance figures climb even higher. Personal remittances, which include cash sent through banks and informal channels as well as remittances in kind, amounted to US$3.52 billion in October. From January to October, total personal remittances reached US$32.49 billion.

The BSP noted that steady remittance inflows continue to support household consumption, strengthen local economies, and help cushion the impact of rising prices, underscoring the vital role OFWs play in maintaining the country’s economic stability.
