PBA Player Allegedly Caught Attempting Bribery In EDSA Busway

A PBA player, Raymond Almazan of the Meralco Bolts, was allegedly caught attempting to bribe a member of the Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (DOTr-SAICT) during an incident on Monday, April 15, 2024.
According to reports from SAICT Coast Guard Jayson Montemayor, while conducting operations on the EDSA busway, an unauthorized vehicle boldly passed through the carousel, driven by Almazan.
The operative said he noticed Almazan handing out money, attempting to bribe the officer. The bribe was promptly refused, and Almazan was issued a violation ticket for Disregarding Traffic Sign (DTS) and Failure to carry OR/CR.
