The Philippine National Police (PNP) isn’t backing down when it comes to high-profile cases. In fact, they’ve just made it clear they’re all set to support the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) if the time comes to bring expelled Negros Oriental Representative Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves Jr. back to the Philippines.

This statement follows Teves’ arrest in Timor-Leste—where he’s been staying since being tagged as the alleged mastermind behind the shocking assassination of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo and nine others.

According to PNP Chief P/Gen. Rommel Marbil, their team is fully prepared to step in and provide assistance in the event of Teves’ repatriation. While no exact timeline has been confirmed, it’s clear that the authorities are making arrangements should the transfer push through.
