Actress and TV host Pokwang has broken her silence following the viral video showing a man assaulting a father who was pushing a cart with his young child—an incident that has sparked widespread outrage online.

Yesterday, December 15, 2025, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) confirmed that the man seen in the video has been identified and slapped with a 90-day suspension of his driver’s license as authorities continue to investigate the case.

Amid the growing public reaction, Pokwang released a personal statement, revealing that the man involved is her brother. While acknowledging their relationship, the actress made it clear that she does not condone his actions.

“I am asking for forgiveness from the person my brother had a conflict with, which went viral in recent days and continues until now,” Pokwang said in her statement. “Yes, the man in the video is my brother, and I am not pleased with what he did.”

Pokwang also expressed disappointment over how the incident has been used by some political figures, saying she was more upset by those who chose to ride on the controversy instead of focusing on more pressing national issues.

“What saddened me even more were politicians who took advantage of this issue instead of addressing the real problems facing our country today,” she added.
