To help ensure that electricity remains both safe and reliable for everyone, Meralco recently joined forces with the Philippine National Police and the Dasmariñas City local government in a joint anti-pilferage operation.

Held in Barangay Sultan Esmael, the initiative is part of a larger effort to address electricity theft and reinforce community safety. Electricity pilferage not only causes technical problems and power interruptions—it also puts lives at risk. That’s why Meralco, together with its partners, is working to tackle the issue head-on.

Following the operation, Meralco’s Dasmariñas Business Center and the company’s Sector team took a proactive step by organizing a service application caravan in the area. The goal: help residents legitimize their electricity connections and make the transition to legal and safer access to power.

By providing on-site assistance for service applications, Meralco hopes to make the process more convenient for households that may have previously relied on unsafe and unauthorized connections.

Through these combined efforts, Meralco reaffirms its commitment to building safer, more empowered communities—where electricity is not only accessible but also responsibly used.
