President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Marie Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos are set to return to their public duties after a brief hiatus due to flu-like symptoms, as announced by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) on Monday.

In a social media post, the PCO staid, "The President and the First Lady have completely recovered from their flu-like symptoms and are now in excellent health."

Their attending physician has given them the green light to resume their regular duties immediately, confirming they are free from all symptoms. President Marcos has already engaged in meetings today and is scheduled to fully resume his public responsibilities starting tomorrow.

The First Couple experienced flu-like symptoms after their busy schedule last week and were advised to rest and take necessary medication to alleviate their condition.

The pair returned from a successful diplomatic visit to Europe, including stops in Germany and the Czech Republic, on March 16. President Marcos had a packed agenda early last week, attending events such as the World Economic Forum (WEF) and hosting US Secretary of State Antony Blinken at Malacañang.
