According to Police Commander General Rhoderick Armamento, the primary suspect in the murder case of a mother and daughter is now in the custody of the Philippine National Police (PNP). The suspect surrendered in Bicol and is currently en route back to Tayabas City, Quezon.

The tragic discovery of the bodies of a mother and daughter, identified as Lorry Litada and Mai Motegi, respectively, both returning residents, shook the community of Tayabas City. The bodies were found in an empty lot in Barangay Isabang, Tayabas City, on Thursday, March 14.

The PNP, along with Tayabas CPS, CIDG Quezon, and Quezon PFU, conducted an on-site inspection near the area where the cadavers were discovered. Upon thorough investigation, the authorities observed suspicious soil disturbances near the residence of one of the victim's siblings, leading to the grim discovery.

The missing duo, last seen on February 21, 2024, had been reported as missing by their family to local authorities on March 9. Both Litada and Motegi, hailing from Japan, had vanished without a trace, sparking concerns within the community.
