At just seven years old, Aielle Aguilar has already made her mark on the global Brazilian jiu-jitsu scene—once again. Adding to her growing list of achievements, the young martial artist clinched gold at the Pan Kids IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship, widely regarded as the world’s largest and most competitive tournament for young jiu-jitsu practitioners.
Aielle triumphed in the Pee Wee 2 Grey division for athletes weighing 46.60 lbs, capping her tournament run with a hard-fought win over Lyla Rose Warren in the finals. The victory marked yet another milestone for Aielle, now a three-time world jiu-jitsu champion.
“My birthday wish last year was to compete at IBJJF Pan Kids someday and it came true!” Aielle shared on social media. “I thank God and my family for getting me here and all my teammates turned [into a] family who helped me prepare to get to where I am now. Best day ever.”
Before claiming the title, Aielle advanced through a tough bracket. She overcame Trinity Grace Thome in the quarterfinals and was set to face Maite Almeida De Oliveira in the semis—though her opponent later withdrew, granting Aielle a direct path to the final.
Her gold-medal performance in this elite competition not only adds to her impressive resume but also serves as an inspiration to young athletes aiming for the international stage. Aielle’s discipline, determination, and love for the sport continue to set her apart as one of jiu-jitsu’s brightest rising stars.
