Aiza Maizo-Pontillas Joins Galeries Tower

Veteran opposite hitter Aiza Maizo-Pontillas is officially headed to the Highrisers as they prepare for the 2026 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference. The team announced her signing on Monday, signaling a clear push to level up for the upcoming season.
At 37, Pontillas brings with her a wealth of experience after a strong three-year stint with Petro Gazz, where she helped the Angels capture two PVL championships. Her move comes after Petro Gazz announced a leave of absence from the league, opening the door for the decorated hitter’s next chapter.
Beyond her on-court firepower, Pontillas is expected to play a crucial leadership role for Galeries Tower. She will be mentoring a young and promising core led by second overall pick Jean Asis and Alas Pilipinas standout Julia Coronel, helping guide the Highrisers’ next generation.
The signing is part of a major roster shake-up for Galeries Tower. The team parted ways with more than half of its previous lineup and brought in a wave of fresh talent to reinforce its campaign.
New faces joining the Highrisers include Lycha Ebon, Dolly Versoza, Cams Victoria, Erika Deloria, Sharya Ancheta, Shola Alvarez, Erika Raagas, BLove Barbon, and Julia Angeles—clear proof that Galeries Tower is aiming to compete at the highest level this season.
