Young members of the political party Akbayan staged a protest rally at the EDSA People Power Monument today, Sept. 21, demanding accountability and an end to corruption. The event, which they dubbed "Saan na kayo? Dito na kami sa EDSA!" (Where are you? We are here at EDSA!), was part of a larger "Trillion Peso March" aimed at raising awareness about the misuse of public funds.

The gathering drew a mix of prominent personalities and young activists, including retired Supreme Court Justice Antonio Carpio and actor Alex Diaz. They joined the youth in a united front against what they described as systemic corruption. Chants of "Kadiri ang Korapsyon!" (Corruption is disgusting!) and "Mga magnanakaw, ikulong, panagutin!" (Thieves, jail them, hold them accountable!) echoed through the monument.

Akbayan youth leaders Elijah Canlas and Cairo were among those who led the charge, emphasizing the need for their generation to take a stand. The group's message was clear: young Filipinos are actively engaged and ready to fight for a more transparent and just government. The demonstration highlighted the growing youth-led movement for good governance and integrity in public service.
