All 28 luxury vehicles tied to the Discaya family are now securely in the hands of the Bureau of Customs (BOC), following the family’s surrender of the remaining 16 units on September 4, 2025. This comes just two days after authorities recovered the first 12 vehicles during a court-sanctioned search at the St. Gerrard Construction General Contractor & Development Corp. compound in Pasig City.
The surrendered vehicles include high-end models such as a Mercedes-Benz GLE, Land Rover Range Rover LWB, Cadillac Escalade ESV, Ford Bronco, Porsche Cayenne V6, and GMC Yukon Denali, among others. Two ATVs were also turned over.
According to Customs officials, all vehicles have been sealed, placed under 24/7 security, and are now under the strict watch of both customs agents and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
Customs Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno said this development is a significant step in the ongoing investigation into the importation of the Discaya-owned vehicles, which is tied to the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee’s probe on alleged irregularities in flood control projects.
“This latest development will greatly assist us in verifying the importation records of these vehicles. We assure the public that we will thoroughly check compliance and documentation. Should we find any violations, appropriate penalties will be imposed in accordance with the law,” Commissioner Nepomuceno stated.
The BOC is coordinating with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to review all importation records in detail. If discrepancies or violations are discovered, the agency will enforce all necessary legal actions as mandated by the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).
