Arnel Ty Calls Out Francis Leo Marcos Over False LPGMA Leadership Claims: 'Let's End The Lies'

Former Congressman Arnel Ty isn’t having any of it.
In a firm and straightforward statement, the LPGMA Partylist chairman and founder has shut down the recent claims made by Norman Mangusin—more popularly known as Francis Leo Marcos—who's been going around in videos saying he is the chairman of LPGMA.
“Totally false and misleading,” Ty said, clearly exasperated by the whole situation.
He explained, “May isang taong nagke-claim na officer daw siya ng partido—ng LPGMA Partylist—at ang matindi, sinasabi pa niyang siya ang chairman. So gusto lang po naming pabulaanan ’yun.”
According to Ty, there’s no truth to Mangusin’s claims. Not even close. In fact, the official records from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) make it crystal clear.
“The best evidence is our registration sa SEC. Wala ang pangalan ni Norman Mangusin o Francis Leo Marcos,” Ty emphasized, inviting anyone who’s curious to check the records for themselves.
To leave no room for confusion, Ty added that all official LPGMA documents—including the list of officers—have also been submitted to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC). Everything is aboveboard and open to the public.
“Makikita po ito sa SEC registration. Lumalabas po doon na ako ang Chairman and President,” he said, underlining the importance of transparency and facts.
Ty didn’t stop there. He also released LPGMA’s official list of candidates for the 2025 elections, pointing out that Mangusin’s name isn’t, and was never, part of it.
“Siguro, puwede na po natin tapusin ang usapang ‘yan,” Ty said. “Maliwanag naman po na ang opisyal na dokumento ay open to the public.”
As LPGMA moves forward with its programs and preparations for the upcoming elections, Ty reminded the public to stay vigilant and be cautious of individuals who use party names for personal agendas.
For him, it all boils down to accountability and staying true to the party’s mission: genuine service to the Filipino people.
“Truth matters,” Ty said. “And that’s what we’ll continue to stand for.”
