Ateneo de Manila University is officially expanding beyond its Loyola Heights home, as it partners with GT Capital Holdings, Inc. to build a new campus inside Riverpark, a master-planned township by Federal Land, Inc., in General Trias, Cavite.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed on October 24, 2025, at the GT Tower International Penthouse in Makati City. Representing GT Capital were Vice Chairman Alfred Ty and President Carmelo Maria Luza Bautista, while Ateneo President Fr. Roberto Yap, SJ signed on behalf of the university.

Also present were Ateneo Board of Trustees Chairperson Bernadine Siy, Federal Land Vice Chairman and FNG President William Thomas Mirasol, FNG Vice Chairman Yusuke Hirano, and Federal Land President Jose Mari Banzon.

The upcoming 15-hectare campus aims to bring Ateneo’s world-class Jesuit education closer to learners in Cavite and nearby provinces, providing new opportunities for growth in the south.

“The new Ateneo campus in Riverpark allows us to extend our mission and provide more families in Cavite and nearby provinces with access to quality education rooted in our Jesuit tradition,” said Yap.

According to Ty, Ateneo’s entry into Riverpark represents more than just expansion—it marks a step toward creating a learning-centered, sustainable community. He said the project aligns with GT Capital’s goal of building spaces that uplift lives while fostering innovation and service.

Riverpark is envisioned as a smart and sustainable “Next-Gen City of the South.” With Ateneo as a key institutional partner, the development is expected to evolve into a dynamic hub for education, innovation, and community living, bringing the university’s iconic “blue eagle” spirit to Cavite.
