Authorities in Bataan dealt another blow to the illegal drug trade after seizing about one kilogram of suspected shabu, valued at ₱6.8 million, during a buy-bust operation in Balanga City.

The operation, carried out by the Balanga City Police Station on August 21 in Brgy. Bagong Silang, led to the arrest of a high-value individual believed to be linked to a wider drug network. Along with the suspected shabu, police also recovered marked money used in the operation.

Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) Regional Director, PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., underscored the significance of the arrest.
“This operation, guided by actionable intelligence, shows that PRO3 remains firm and uncompromising in its fight against illegal drugs,” he said. “We will continue to pursue high-value targets and dismantle drug networks to protect our communities.”

The successful bust reflects ongoing efforts in Central Luzon to crack down on the illegal drug trade, with authorities emphasizing that the fight remains far from over.
