Bicol On Alert: Forced Evacuation Ordered Ahead Of Cyclone 'Pre-Uwan'

The Provincial Government of Camarines Sur has ordered a forced evacuation tomorrow, November 8, as Tropical Cyclone “Pre-Uwan” approaches. The storm is expected to bring heavy rains, strong winds, flooding, and landslides, particularly affecting flood-, landslide-, and storm surge-prone areas.
Local chief executives have been directed to implement the evacuation plan immediately. Agencies under the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) — including the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine Army, Department of Education (DepEd), and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) — are mobilized to assist in evacuation and disaster-preparedness operations.
Authorities emphasize: “Your safety is our top priority.” Residents are urged to cooperate, remain vigilant, and follow instructions from local officials.
The PDRRMC and PAGASA will continue providing updates as the storm approaches. Citizens are advised to secure their homes, prepare emergency kits, and move to safe evacuation centers when instructed.
