The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has confirmed that twelve luxury vehicles linked to the Discaya family are now accounted for following a court-ordered search at the St. Gerrard Construction General Contractor and Development Corp. compound in Pasig City.
The operation began yesterday morning with the discovery of two high-end vehicles: a Toyota LC300 3.3 V6 ZX AT SUV 2024 and a Maserati Levante Modena 2022. These were among the units identified in the search warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court of Manila, Branch 18.
At that time, ten other vehicles remained unaccounted for, prompting BOC Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno to issue a firm warning that the Bureau would locate them without delay. He reiterated that any discrepancies in their importation would result in the full collection of duties and taxes, and those found concealing the vehicles would face the full force of the law.
By evening, seven more vehicles had been surrendered to the BOC and secured within the Pasig compound. The final three units—a GMC Yukon Denali SUV and two Lincoln Navigators—are currently undergoing repairs at authorized service centers and will be turned over to authorities once work is completed.
All vehicles have been formally sealed by the BOC and are under round-the-clock security provided by BOC personnel and the Philippine Coast Guard.
Commissioner Nepomuceno expressed appreciation to the Land Transportation Office, the Philippine National Police, the Highway Patrol Group, the Philippine Coast Guard, and officials of Barangay Bambang for their assistance in the recovery process. He stressed that the Bureau remains committed to enforcing accountability and ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
The BOC is now verifying the importation records of the vehicles to determine if they meet the requirements of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act. Should any irregularities be confirmed, legal action will follow.
This initiative reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to intensify enforcement against smuggling, protect public revenue, and uphold transparency, in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
