Senator Christopher “Bong” Go is proving to be a dominant force in the 2025 senatorial race, topping the latest Pulse Asia survey and maintaining strong rankings in multiple independent polls.
Based on the Pulse Asia survey conducted from February 20-26, Go surged to the top spot with 58.1% voter support—his highest rating so far. This is a solid jump from his 50.4% rating in January, where he was ranked second to third.
“Ang inyong tiwala at suporta ay patuloy na nagbibigay sa akin ng lakas at inspirasyon upang gawin kung ano ang tama, isulong ang interes, at ipaglaban ang kapakanan ng mga Pilipino,” Go expressed in response to his rising numbers.
He also recalled the advice of former President Rodrigo Duterte: “Just do what is right. Unahin ang interes ng bayan, unahin ang kapwa Pilipino, at hinding-hindi ka magkakamali dyan.”
Climbing in Other Surveys
It’s not just Pulse Asia where Go is making waves. The Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey from February 15-19 placed him at second with 38% voter preference, climbing from third-fourth in January (37%) and December (32%).
Meanwhile, OCTA Research’s February 22-28 survey showed him securing second place with a strong 62% voter support. The momentum carried over to March, with Tangere’s pre-election poll (March 11-14) showing Go statistically tied at the top with 54% voter preference.
Keeping It Simple: Service First
Go credits his steady rise to his hands-on approach to public service, especially in healthcare, disaster response, and grassroots assistance.
"Walang pinipiling oras, walang pinipiling lugar—kapag kailangan ng tao ng tulong, dapat n’andiyan ka," he emphasized. "God-willing, kung mabigyan muli ng pagkakataon, itutuloy ko ang aking sinimulan at lalo pang pagbubutihin ang paglilingkod para sa inyo."
One of his biggest achievements is the Malasakit Center program, which he initiated in 2018 and later institutionalized through Republic Act No. 11463. These centers serve as one-stop shops for medical assistance from the DOH, PhilHealth, DSWD, and PCSO, helping millions of Filipinos cut down hospital costs.
Today, 167 Malasakit Centers operate nationwide, assisting over 17 million Filipinos in reducing their hospital expenses.
Aside from Malasakit Centers, Go also played a key role in passing the Regional Specialty Centers Act (RA 11959), bringing specialty hospitals closer to the provinces. He also pushed for the creation of Super Health Centers, providing primary care and early disease detection services in coordination with LGUs and PhilHealth’s Konsulta program.
Staying Focused Despite Political Challenges
Even with his rising numbers, Go admitted feeling heavy about the country’s current political climate, particularly with former President Rodrigo Duterte’s legal battles with the International Criminal Court (ICC).
"Para akong nawalan ng isang tatay," Go said, expressing sadness over the situation.
Despite this, he reassured the public that his dedication to service remains unwavering.
"Sa kabila nito, patuloy ang aking trabaho at pagbibigay ng serbisyong tunay na may malasakit," he said. "Kaya inuuna ko ang pagsusulong sa mga batas at programang makakatulong sa mga ordinaryong Pilipino, lalo na ang mga mahihirap at walang-wala sa buhay."
With months to go before the 2025 elections, Go’s message is clear: service first, politics second. And if the numbers are any indication, it looks like many Filipinos agree.
