Bong Go Still On Top: Senate Race Heats Up As 97% Of Votes Counted

The Senate race is nearly wrapped up—and the numbers are painting a dramatic picture.

As of May 13, 2025, 6:30 PM, with 97.31% of Election Returns processed, Bong Go (PDPLBN) is holding a strong lead with 26,473,829 votes, based on partial, unofficial results from the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Not far behind, Bam Aquino (KNP) remains in second with over 20.6 million votes, while Bato Dela Rosa (PDPLBN) is close on his heels with 20.2 million.

Here’s how the rest of the top Senate contenders are stacking up:

Erwin Tulfo (LAKAS): 16,810,994 votes

Kiko Pangilinan (LP): 15,085,075 votes

Rodante Marcoleta (IND): 14,902,929 votes

Ping Lacson (IND): 14,855,055 votes

Tito Sotto (NPC): 14,595,423 votes

Pia Cayetano (NP): 14,304,902 votes

Camille Villar (NP): 13,355,859 votes

Lito Lapid (NPC): 13,116,390 votes

Imee Marcos (NP): 13,034,300 votes

With just a sliver of votes left to count, the race is nearing the finish line—but nothing’s final until the last ballot is in.
