Let’s talk about walking the talk when it comes to sustainability—because that’s exactly what’s happening in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. In a powerful move toward a cleaner and greener future, MSpectrum, Inc. has officially turned over a 120-kilowatt peak (kWp) solar rooftop project to DHL Supply Chain, lighting up the logistics giant’s training center with renewable energy.

MSpectrum, the solar arm of Meralco, made the sun-powered switch possible, marking another step in their shared mission to create a more sustainable Philippines.

The numbers? They speak for themselves. The solar system is expected to generate about 171,000 kilowatt-hours of clean energy every year. That’s enough to slash DHL’s carbon emissions by around 121 tons annually—the equivalent of planting over 5,500 trees or cutting more than 482,000 kilometers of vehicle travel. Not too shabby, right?

At the project’s turnover ceremony, DHL Supply Chain’s Country Managing Director Bevan Williams summed it up perfectly:

“We’re looking to build more sites powered by solar energy. It makes sense—not just for today, but for the generations after us. We’re committed to investing in solar and growing our partnership with MSpectrum.”

And it’s a partnership rooted in a shared goal. MSpectrum’s President and CEO Ma. Cecilia M. Domingo called it more than a project—it’s a signal of what’s possible:

“Working with a global leader like DHL is an honor. This initiative reflects our common goal—a future where solar rooftops are the norm across the Philippines.”

This isn’t the first time DHL and the Meralco Group have joined forces. Their partnership started strong with the energization of DHL’s biggest facility in Sta. Rosa and deepened through Power Consult’s support in optimizing energy efficiency.

As Charina P. Padua, Meralco’s First Vice President and Head of Customer Retail Services, put it:

“While DHL keeps global supply chains running smoothly, Meralco delivers the power behind it all. Together, we’re driving not just operations—but real national progress.”

In the end, this solar rooftop isn’t just about panels and power. It’s about purpose. It’s about two industry leaders stepping up, working together, and proving that doing good for the planet can also mean doing good business.
