Good news for all government employees! The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) announced that it will release the year-end bonus and ₱5,000 cash gift early this November 2025.
According to DBM Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman, the payout will be made together with the first agency payroll for November, following Budget Circular No. 2024-3.
“The DBM is one with the President in ensuring that our public servants feel the warmth of our Bagong Pilipinas. We truly value the hard work and excellence of our government workers, which is why we make sure their benefits are released on time,”
Secretary Pangandaman said.
She added, “We know how much our government personnel look forward to this time of the year—not just because it’s the season of giving, but because it’s a well-deserved recognition of their service and sacrifice.”
For Fiscal Year 2025, the government has allotted ₱63.69 billion for the year-end bonus of civilian and uniformed personnel, and ₱9.24 billion for the cash gift—covering more than 1.85 million employees nationwide.
The year-end bonus (YEB), equivalent to one month’s basic pay as of October 31, and the ₱5,000 cash gift are given annually as a token of appreciation for the dedication and service of government workers.
The DBM assured that all necessary funds were released at the start of the year to allow agencies to process and distribute the bonuses promptly.
Under DBM rules, employees who have rendered at least four months of service from January 1 and are still employed as of October 31 are eligible to receive both the YEB and cash gift.
The DBM also reminded all government agencies to release the bonuses on time in accordance with the prescribed budget circulars.
