Public Works and Highways Secretary Vince Dizon has announced that he will be signing the dismissal orders for two high-ranking officials from the agency's Bulacan District Engineering Office. The move comes after their alleged involvement in irregularities concerning flood control projects in the province.

The officials, identified as former Assistant District Engineer Brice Ericson Hernandez and Construction Section Chief Jaypee Mendoza, will be officially removed from their posts today, September 12.

According to Secretary Dizon, this action is part of the agency's ongoing campaign against corruption. He emphasized that he will not tolerate any official or employee involved in graft and corruption, especially when it affects the quality of public service and the welfare of the people.

The DPWH's investigation is still ongoing to identify any other individuals who may be involved in the issue. The secretary assured the public that all those proven to have a hand in these irregularities will be held accountable.
