'Duterte Ten' Riding High: Bong Go Leads The Pack As Allies Gain Ground In 2025 Senate Race

It looks like the “Duterte Ten” are having their moment.
Allies of former President Rodrigo Duterte are picking up steam as the 2025 midterm elections inch closer, with the latest Pulse Asia surveys from January to March 2025 showing a clear upswing in public support. At the forefront? None other than Senator Bong Go, who’s not just holding his ground—but actually gaining serious momentum.
From 50.4% in January, Bong Go’s ratings jumped to 58.1% in February and then 61.9% in March. That’s an 11.5-point leap in just three months. Not bad for someone who’s always said, “Bisyo ko ang magserbisyo.”
Go, known as “Mr. Malasakit,” continues to bank on his consistent track record in public service. He made it clear: “Serbisyo sa tao ay serbisyo sa Panginoon. Patuloy po kaming magseserbisyo sa inyo.”
He’s not alone in the rise.

Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa also showed a steady climb—41.2% in January, 44.3% in February, and 48.7% in March. Congressman Rodante Marcoleta saw the most dramatic jump: from 12.5% in January to 28.3% in March.
Jimmy Bondoc, Jayvee Hinlo, Raul Lambino, Phillip Salvador, and Victor Rodriguez are also picking up support fast, with each posting double-digit gains. Even Apollo Quiboloy and Doc Marites Mata—relatively lesser-known names on the national stage—have seen significant growth in public preference.
This “Duterte wave” is becoming more than just a blip on the radar—it’s shaping up to be a major force in the upcoming elections. And Bong Go knows it.
“Hindi po ako politiko na mangangako,” he said. “Gagawin ko lang ang aking trabaho sa abot ng aking makakaya.”
Go also didn’t shy away from mentioning the elephant in the room: the controversial transfer of former President Duterte to The Hague last March. For him, this only solidified public sentiment around Duterte’s legacy.
“Ramdam po namin na hindi kami nag-iisa sa laban na ito,” he said. “Sa huli, ang Pilipino ang huhusga sa nagawa ni Tatay Digong.”
And it’s clear that many voters still feel strongly about that legacy. With support swelling, Go is calling on the public to rally behind candidates who’ll carry on the former president’s vision. “’Yan ang magdadala ng laban pabalik sa Senado,” he said, referring to those who prioritize the interests of ordinary Filipinos.
