Elon Musk Bids Farewell To Trump Admin With A Cryptic Shoutout To 'DOGE Mission'

Elon Musk has officially wrapped up his stint with the Trump administration. A White House official confirmed the Tesla and SpaceX CEO is stepping down after a “tumultuous” chapter helping to restructure the federal government.
Musk, never one to exit quietly, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts.
“As my scheduled time as a Special Government Employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President @realDonaldTrump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending,” he posted.
But of course, it wouldn’t be a Musk moment without a curveball.
“The @DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government,” he added.
Wait, DOGE? Yes, the same name as the cryptocurrency that started as a meme. Whether Musk is being metaphorical, hinting at a new kind of government efficiency effort (or just being peak Elon), isn’t entirely clear.
